What is a Gold Convert Account (GCA)?

The Gold Convert Account (GCA) is a facility that allows eligible Gold Storage Account (GSA) holders to unlock the value of their gold without selling it permanently.

Instead of disposing of your gold outright, you may convert up to 85% of the value of your eligible gold holdings into cash, giving you immediate access to funds while retaining a structured path to regain the value of your gold.

The facility is designed for members who require temporary financial flexibility while continuing their long-term gold ownership journey.

How Does a Gold Convert Account Work?

When you apply for a Gold Convert Account:

  1. Your eligible gold in your Gold Storage Account (GSA) is used for the conversion.
  2. The value of your gold is calculated based on the prevailing WDG Buy Price.
  3. WDG provides cash equivalent to 85% of your eligible gold value.
  4. The cash is credited to your registered bank account.
  5. The converted amount becomes your outstanding balance under the Gold Convert Account.
  6. A Management Fee (Profit Rate) of 3.50% per annum (Daily Rest) is charged on the outstanding balance until it is fully settled.

Why Choose a Gold Convert Account (GCA)?

A Gold Convert Account provides members with a practical way to access cash while making use of the value of their existing gold holdings.

Access Cash When You Need It

Convert part of your gold's value into cash without permanently disposing of your gold holdings.

Flexible Repayment

Choose a repayment schedule that suits your financial situation, subject to the terms and conditions of the facility.

Transparent Charges

Management Fees are calculated at 3.50% per annum using the Daily Rest method, based only on the outstanding balance.

Continue Your Gold Ownership Journey

The facility allows members to unlock liquidity while maintaining a structured arrangement linked to their gold holdings.

Settlement and Termination

When you decide to settle or terminate your Gold Convert Account:

  1. The current value of your gold holdings (Holding Inventory Value) is determined using the prevailing WDG trading price.
  2. Your outstanding conversion amount is deducted.
  3. Any accumulated Management Fees (Profit Rate) are deducted.
  4. The remaining balance is your Net Cash.
